Some of my friends were somehow "complimenting" my face for not having any pimples or acne, saying things like "wow... you have a clear face" and "envy why you don't frequently have breakouts". Well perhaps it is due to genetically good complexion and pores, nothing much of a specialty. However, it does not mean I have no pimples or acne on my face before...they seldom appear out of nowhere. That's what we say - teenage years (or even adults). On another hand, I've been trying out various products and ways on keeping a continuously fine skin, if you are genuinely concern about what products I like or often use, and how I take care of my skin, then below will be some tips that actually worked for me. Throughout this sharing, I would like to label each tip if they could be either a 'myth or scientific fact' because I cannot gaurantee if they are 100% beneficial to each one of us. Fyi, these are just me and my opinions.
Tip 1: Cleanse your face before or even after putting on any other face products (make-up and organic products ect).
Well, this is a really obvious one... your hygiene is top notch besides beauty. I love using pimple/acne-away and non-comedogenic cleansers as I find them absolutely useful on a regular basis. What they do besides engulfing your bad bacterias on your face is that they help keep track on the excess of oil on the face; which means to say they control them. Moreover, they clogs out blackheads from pores of the skin. One product I would totally recommend to all of you (to those who have not known of it) is the Cetaphil gentle/mild cleanser. This brand is recommended by most dermatologists. What is good about it is that it varies towards all skin types, including those who have sensitive skin or are struggling with certain skin conditions. Though the product might be slightly pricey over here, I still think its worthwhile because you can actually use it for a period of time; quite lasting. {I'm sure it is a fact!}
Tip 2: Wash you hands frequently if possible, especially after carrying out intensive outdoor activities.
Yes yes... I know! You will probably be asking me something like "Oh Cal...this is a facial skin related post, why are hands concerned here? Its pretty out." You could say that. But its just another fact which is indirectly talking about the issue. Generally speaking from research, our hands contain a huge amount of bacteria enough to fill a bowl. Where do they come from? Everywhere, from making contacts with our hands. Moreover, if you keep touching your face every once in a while, those bacteria will eventually spread to your pores. By washing your hands frequently, it helps remove the bad bacteria away. Don't get me wrong, I am not saying you should never touch your face or wash your hands like "almost every second" ... the saying "touching your face cause acne" is overstated to me. {Could probably be a myth too...}
Tip 3: Live a healthy lifestyle.Get motivated.
Whew! There is a number of things I want to say here, I guess I should cut it short or else this post will be just another nagging session. First off, I want to focus on leading a relaxed and happy lifestyle. As we tend to grow and mature more as time goes by, we will have the urge to be more negative towards certain things. This causes our stress levels to increase. You would understand more by reading on the topic more,there are like a plenty of them! A website I would like to recommend would be this.
"Eat healthy. Live healthy." You know it! A balance diet will keep you going. I do not have to elaborate much here...vitamin C, minerals, nutrients ect. {I'm taking it as a fact!}
Tip 4: Moisturize your face daily, regardless of what skin type you have, use a correct moisturizer and you will be alright.
For me, I have a pretty normal skin that can go either slightly dry or sweaty sometimes. I usually apply my moisturizer at night, before going to bed. I am currently using the brand 'Olay", it is pretty good in my opinion, I mean I like its fragrance and and how it will not make my face allergic. My nightly routine really depends, but I guess cleansing, toning and moisturizing are essential. The purpose of the moisturizer is to avoid common problems like dryness, oiliness and clogged pores ect. Different moisturizer has a different function to carry out for each skin type. Do take note of what your skin condition is.{fact!}
Tip 5: Deal with your current skin condition, don't give up nor ignore it, you can do it!
I have this tendency or thought on insisting to do something with my face immediately whenever I see a pimple/acne appears suddenly. I have a variety of likings upon some pimple creams and natural products/ One of them would be ICM acne clear cream. It has a fine texture that is not too watery/oily. You can apply it regularly so that your acne/pimple will gradually fade away. What you need to most would be patience, believe that you will need to take a while to recover from certain face problems (if there is), do shower the love upon your skin! {fact!}
Alright people, 5 tips shall be it! I will be posting more in the future, probably after the year-end examinations.
