"Where do I want to be?"
"What do I see myself as."
"Who am I gonna be?"
"What motivates me."
And most importantly...
"How do I live in now?"
Very self-reflexive and reflective.
Yes. I have set myself a limit for deep-thinking. And no, I try not to think too much (it never turns out well, you see...).
As human beings, we each have a very different outlook in life, It seems that our brains are metaphorically structured like a flower/plant, There are many kinds of plants, ranging from colors, patterns, LIFESTYLES, ways to adapt and sizes. Each flower faces different directions, as long as it reaches sunlight. At the end of the day, its the making-of-food process that counts.
Like the brain, we carry several messages that differs from one person to another. Although in general, we have similarities such as having emotions, feelings and goals in life. No matter what, the things mentioned can still be branched out into smaller, specific factors.
I call this a "different similarity."
Okay...I guess at this point of time you guys will be like "hey Cal, okay with the comparison between "brains and plants", now tell me what are you hinting on." Alright, this post in short, revolves the brain; duh...
Fine. I will be serious. Don't mind how imaginative I am as a whole.
Its already mentioned on the title. See.. I got you there, didn't I? This post states the way we make decisions each day and live life. "Different similarity" personally, is how we all LOOK at things in different point of views. Given that we are all raised in different places, climates and atmospheres, we are taught different moral values, merits and beliefs. Therefore, it is not surprising to see how we deal or handle scenarios.
So, where is my linking point to the questions I asked myself above?
Honestly I am reasoning this out myself too. Having parents from a different country, and being raised in yet another different country makes me a somewhat confused person sometimes. Not blaming anyone or anything, its just how things work, I say. I get stuck in the middle, between which path I should choose, and how I should say things out. Am I being polite, or rude? Is following this practice good or bad? Where should I direct myself to? This way or that way? I can totally feel people who always get caught somewhere in between, culture/religion/values wise.
Side note: if your not ready to take confusion at your own strife, discontinue from here. Because this post is getting pretty complicated (I linked a number of things together). I would advise you not to take anymore breaths on reading it.
~
Your still here, aren't you? Well brave of you. /smirks/
So, this sudden self-examination brought me to think, and research further. More questions like "Who am I, truly" and "What does being true to yourself mean".
It turns out that yes, background experiences and atmosphere do shape people as they are currently.
"Who am I/Who are we"
I, or we are all round-shaped. Just like in books, where some characters are well elaborated on. Having good and bad sides as a whole. For example: Merchant of Venice's Shylock, arrogant but yet, stripped off from wealth later.
Why am I/are we born, what's the purpose? This very question, is beyond questionable. I mean, no, I don't believe there's an absolute answer to this. However, I believe we are born for a reason (though the me last time, as arrogant as I can be wouldn't believe it). But for me, being born means fulfilling life goals, becoming a better, improved version of oneself. At least when I take my last breath, I accomplished something. And when life comes rewinding back at me, I see an outcome. An okay one.

By all means, each person's "goal" differs from one another.
"Being true to oneself"
Millions (I'm exaggerating) of people keep emphasizing on staying true.
By this, I could totally search for "being true" online.
In some ways, just being well...me... aiming for goodness etc. Not getting easily influenced by what others say about me. Setting goals wisely.
Staying true however, does not mean if I'm naturally offending, I should be offending all my life. Oh, no no no. You can speak up, there's nothing wrong with it as long as its not entirely making the other party negative (sorrowful).
Hehehehe, serious me just want to "chill" off by putting a relevant picture from the web.
Just like how I want to stay true to myself when I blog? Live by the principles. ;')
Honestly, go about and ask people these simple questions, I believe not everyone answers the same way, though there might be some linking factors.
Lately, I've been caught up in this particular Eckhart Tolle's book, titled "A new earth: Awakening to your life's purpose" and its pretty interesting. Couldn't mention more because I, as slow as I can be sometimes, have yet to finish reading it. But the part on ego intrigues me. ;P
Anyways, I'm going to end off here because this post can go on forever.
Have a nice week ahead!!
