The Great Leader

Just a couple of days ago,  we (fellow citizens of Singapore,  together with all others), lost,  and mourned for a very Great man.

A relevance to all; with his creative and innovative solutions for the nation, alongside with several other parts. Former Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew, passed away on Monday morning.  The warrior left an imprint into each and everyone one of our lives. The founding father who created an identity for fellow Singaporeans. With his love,  passion and sacrifice,  not to mention: far-sightedness,  courage and great dynamism.

Admired and respected by many. Always listening to needs of people,  always finding ways to improve. Even took the time to attend meetings despite feeling unwell. Taking risks and moving forward.

As a student here,  It is no doubt that sometimes... I tend to get too drawn away by the downsides of things. Be It complaining about the littlest of them, forgetting small but significant details and simply feeling like a "sourgrape " to the surrounding.

However,  now that I see clarity in certain things,  I could not deny the fact and harsh truth that whatever it is,  things have to still go on. There will still be ups-and-downs and what matters is the mustering of strength that lies within; the pragmatism. I know that things can go wrong even when we think it will go right, just like the merger. It is the moving on process that matters.

People,  be it leaders or ordinary ones that left legacies,  taught me a couple of things.  This is the biggest gift given to me: Life.  I can choose to use it wisely,  or throw It away.  But I do believe in the aftermath, the consequences.  They have to be dealt with sooner or later.

It feels extremely special seeing how people can leave a huge impact in one another's lives,  interconnected - inspiring each other day to day.

The happenings of this week will be etched inside my heart. Reminding me of significant lifelong values and lessons.

At least I could not deny that.

My deepest condolences to the country's loss.
