May you be blessed upon

"When I am with you,  there's no place I'd rather be." -  Bandits

Dear Rainbow Unicorn / Wifey (HAHAHAHA) / SISMANCE BUDDY / LADY...

Today was an absolutely memorable day. I feel like I have bonded with you a lot. And that feeling is great! I want to remember this day forever,  hence,  a penny for this post.
Something that will be etched inside my heart.

To others...

Every small little kind and friendly act/ gesture you do,  it makes my day. It makes me feel like my presence is there indeed,  in front of you.
Thank you. Thank you for showing at least that tiny part of your concern. Even a thoughtful smile counts.

Love y'all. ;')

Peace and light be with you.
Xx

Anime Festival Asia 2015 (The preparation + actual day)

Soo readers... I came up with a more laid back and exciting post. If you have been reading my blog for a year or so, you will know when I attended some past Anime events. I started watching and liking anime two years ago. Thanks to my friend KT...the one who introduced me to Fairy Tail and other shows. I thought the Japanese were really creative with their culture and ideas. Some of their shows were well conceptualized and developed. Not to mention, touching and emotional at some points. The characters' expressions are always on point!

I have been seeing many people cosplay throughout the years. I never get a chance to experience how cosplaying is like. Firstly, purchasing or making costumes can be really costly. Secondly, one has to get his/her wig, miscellaneous like the wig brush, stand, hair care solution and gel. Lastly, time might not necessarily be on a cosplayer's side. There's a need to maintain the wig, even trim it when needed and how can we forget... MAKE UP to look good! A lot of work and effort put into from a cosplayer, don't you think? I honestly admire their passion and determination.

-

This year, I FINALLY GOT A CHANCE TO "JOIN THE CLUB". My friends and I are going to  dress up and become different characters. I chose a vocaloid, Gumi because c'mon, as a first timer, I wanted something that's of my reach. Something simpler and easy to grasp onto. I decided to imitate her outfit from the music video "A Momentary Trip", I absolutely adore that song!

Some of my friends are going to be cosplaying as characters from Sword Art Online, Tokyo Ghoul, Kuroko No Basuke etc etc.

Anyways, let me stop writing for once and post the pictures... NOW!

12/11/2015 & 13/11/2015

Shameless selfie!

Basically sums up my two days . First day alone an second day with the friends.

Moving on to the actual day...

28/11/2015

How I felt about my first ever, and probably the one and only cosplay:
It feels very cool to be part of a dreamy community. But will I want to do it again? Maybe, maybe not. If there is any character(s) I am fond of in the future from any anime or music, I will consider it.

Feelings aside, I thought I did a pretty good job in planning my steps for the whole procedure. I set a budget that does not exceed over SGD 100.

If you can see, the black waist coat vest I wore was sewn by my godmother. *Applause to her*. The white top underneath, along with my Scottish print skirt were purchased from Carousel (an app that helps one buy/sell goods). The leggings are from a H&M outlet. And green wig from e-bay (online shipping). You see? Most items, aside from the wig are re-reusable. It did not cost a bomb. That was what I was aiming for after all!

The overall AFA was alright,  the spacings between each booths were just right. We only get a stamp on our hands when we leave. The music wasn't too loud,  or so I thought? Which means no "earthquake".

HAHAHAHAHA.

Picnic day at Siloso Beach

A sudden but cool decision to have a family picnic alongside the beach. I mean, school holidays with some relaxation time is the best!

Far far away.
Not a deserted one gahahaha! Hey this is Singapore...
This is coconut water. A very refreshing one. Can I get another one? Damn...

"Sad sad life" afterwards: School resumes tomorrow. Yikes!

The paradox from this post though... your welcome.

"5 First-World" GIRL problems

Time for some amusement yaw!

Okay... so recently I have been reading posts of how unsatisfied SOME not-so-tall people are. How having longer legs will save the trouble from catching up, or how the stereotypical word 'tall' or 'short' is related to confidence and self-esteem. Being 168cm in height, I count myself pretty tall for an average Asian girl's height (generally speaking). And what do I think of people who are shorter than me, honestly? Well /laughs/ NOTHING. I mean, I don't care about a person's height, I care about the personality more yo. Truth to be told, being both tall or short do not define anything. Both have their pros and cons. Insecurities and bonuses. Enough said.

GAH actually, that's not the main point here.  It is just a supporting statement for this post.  Something that leads me to have the idea and urge to write this.
-
Going to list out five things all (or maybe most)  girls can relate to:

Ps. 1) Please bear in mind that not everything is going to be agreed on.
      2) I used some Disney Princesses/ Characters as picture references here.

1) Heels/ Wedges
credits: here
credits: here
Don't know about you but I have to choose my heels thoroughly. And worse still, Just because my feet is counted pretty big for a girl's. The choices are rather limited.  The heel designs I like that are of my size are really rare to find sometimes. It is also partially because I am a extremely picky person. Somebody that likes spending the entire day just to find a pair of desirable heels/ wedges. Or never finding one at the end at all. I really need to change that attitude of mine ASAP.

2) PERIOD. PERIODS!
credits: here
Who likes them,  anyways? I have no idea.  Girls, I ABSOLUTELY FEEL those days when cramps simply irk us.  When hormonal changes take place and we get DRAMATIC mood swings.  I know that blood oozing sensation. The need for care and concern.  To have the strong affection for ourselves and people around us. Or maybe none at all,  just yearning for an alone time for some peace. As I'm saying this,  I wonder if I'm making sense anymore.

Heheh, ha...to chill off:
"Could you see if there is anything at the back of me?"

After period (recovery) season: LIGHT WEIGHTED HAHAHA!
credits: here

3) Clothing.
credits: here
"Make it blue...no pink...no blue...pink...!!"

We all have different body types/shapes. Be it slightly bigger stomach, hips, legs, or arms, we might face difficulty flattening them down with certain piece(s) of clothing. Some of us love the confidence we get from dressing ourselves up.  Hence,  It pressurize us to get that 'desired' look we imagined.

Another thing is that when a girl says she has NOTHING to wear, it means she has nothing to wear! Gahahahaha! Despite having her closet full of clothes, most of it might be: a. too small, b. too loose, c. too whatever, d. worn it a number of times already, e. not feeling the mood to wear a particular something, f. uncomfortable...

4) Public "expectations".

EXPECTATION:
credits: here

REALITY:
credits: here
Females have to keep up with "clean hygiene practices",  especially in public. For instance, burping out loud: its feels pretty okay to some,  but not others who feel slightly offended. I think it goes the same with males too?
Of course, there are many other aspects as to how expectations are set. This is just a weak example. Something I want to type out anyways.

Basically, we have to look put together whenever we go out. Presentable - that's the word!  Impressions do matter to us, somehow.

5) Choosing undergarments wisely

credits: here
Be it waterproof, stretchy, or something with contrasting shapes and forms to fit a particular outfit, or a body type. Something that at least shows a sense of decency. And not going to the extremes. "Try-an-error" method in real life, I would call it.

Whewww! Finally finish writing this...Meant to publish earlier!
Good day people!

SEA Games: Football Finals

15th June 2015

Myanmar VS. Thailand

I thought I would continue updating the finals' results. I can't just stop at the semi-finals...

For the third and forth placing. Vietnam fought against Indonesia to secure their third place while Indonesia got forth. 5-0.

Alright, the second and first placing: Thailand won, congratulations to all Thais. You guys were great! For my fellow Burmese people, I am glad to see how enthusiastic fans were. Words cannot describe how much I enjoyed myself last night despite the defeat. I felt nostalgic after the whole match... People were that amazing. One has to be at the actual venue to FEEL the atmosphere and loud cheering.

SEA GAMES 2015! ONE OF THE BEST GAMES EVER! :"D

Appreciate all athletes, staffs, officials and of course... those who played a part in it (fans, volunteers, photographers, behind-the-scenes people...). Those that made it possible. Can I just say it was a success? Kekekekeke. Ahhh such emotions and unity.

Today's the Closing Ceremony already. On a bright side, those who put in extra effort for the event to take place can take a good rest. Singapore will see you again in what...22 years? Anyways, See you after two years in Malaysia, SEA Games! ;)

28th SEA Games Opening Ceremony (Belated)

If you follow my agram, you will know that just recently, I went for the SEA games opening ceremony. It was held in my country this year, at the Sports' Hub.

Here are my most favorite photos! I picked them out from the whole lot in the album.

The most coolest thing about attending such events is the atmosphere. The lights are so neon, so bright and vibrant. Music blasting at background. Emcees and some other officials will take the "stage" to announce something exciting and motivating. Internally, my heart will skip furiously (in a good way... Like working out weehehe). My brain will automatically take in the fun, making me feel euphoric. Like living on cloud nine. This is one way to unwind for me. I drown all my worries with dancing beats and screams of joy. How about yours, fellow readers?

Have a great weekend!

Comforting words...

Credits: here

Interesting yet terrifying how so many things are processed in this little space called the brain within minutes.

"Everyone is crazy, Everyone thinks. You,  me,  us."

I created a pretty "funny way" to deal with myself when I'm feeling below average. So here It goes...

Visualize it honey. Imagine there's another me beside me,  genetically similar to who I am, someone who's made up of same chromosomes. Thinks the way I do,  behaves like me too.  What will I tell her if she's feeling down? Like a friend that empathize,  I will comfort her,  tell her I understand because we are connected. Our thoughts intersect. "Well,  you are duplicated from me after all." We can also appreciate Biology. The inner contents in our bodies (the organs, muscle etc.) are working for us.

Think of all great inventions and breakthrough.  They are remarkable achievements attained from humans. Things worth celebrating. For example, the smartphone I am holding onto now... The features, functions, applications,  design etc.  Masterminded by the big 'H'. Why am I saying this? Because I feel inspired by this thought: Everyone is capable. Everyone have that something within,  something that can lit up and shine no matter how thin that silver lining is. Be It from creating art, exploring something new things, coming up with new ideas,  making another soul smile etc. Without darkness, stars can't shine. Without a climax,  life is boring. I will not know what being "human" really is. Nor will I discover a world so painstakingly beautiful.

Without a life, I might never know what feelings, thoughts and emotions are. Nor will I ever hear my first cry and laughter. Since I am already here, why don't I seize the aliveness within... and make my living worthwhile? After all, you and I: we are here to make ourselves. Stay true, be yourself is a pretty vague statement, don't you think (if you see where I'm coming from)? Stay true. An overrated statement that confuses me sometimes. That was partially what I'm trying to explain/ interpret in one of my short stories earlier here.

"My dear friend, yes... You (I), have come a long way. It would be such a waste to give up now. Years and years of living, lets just let nature and time decide on certain things. Please...please enjoy this current moment."

Things can get messy many a time. But pulling through, finding the strength and getting back up is part of living. I am not alone. Everyone is part of this race.

Alright, till next time buddies. Be safe.

Chinese New Year 2015

Not too late to wish y'all Happy Lunar New Year I guess? Its Day 3 [初三] after all. :D

Wishing all friends and people out there a prosperous New Year, may this year bring everyone more opportunities and wealth (for the "adults") gahahahaha!

Photos below indicate where I've been during the first two days. In midst of all festive mood and celebrations. Its nice to go out sometimes... Some of you might be asking me why I'm not that busy with visits: aside from a few, most of my relatives are either in Burma, overseas or are simply not here anymore. Yes, speak of getting many red packets, enjoying several new year delicacies and all. Be thankful for what you have, alright? Back to myself... It is okay! Looking at the optimistic side: I appreciate those people who've been with me. {^ O ^}

Red; auspicious [吉利].

Left goat: Ba-aaa ba-aaah yang [羊] why is there a girl photo-taking us?
Right goat: Maybe we got famous over the years?
Left goat: Or so our previous generations said. It has been 11 years!

Ps. Your kid-at-heart here soo....

Walking around the streets of Singapore --

-- never tired when it comes to meeting new faces, and hearing new conversations each day.

Basically, I was wandering around the country for the past few days. Not like I have nothing to do. In fact, it makes me happy. Like I can literally breathe in the CITY AIR and see beautiful lights. Its nice, the type where its overall process is exhilarating!

New found hobby and stress-reliever for Sta actually.

What have y'all been up to too?

Part 3: Taunggyi, Pindaya & More! (Sta's Burma Adventures FINALE)

We exited Kyait Ti Yoe much later. It was a pretty long ride back (but not as long as from Yangon city to Moulmein). Honestly, we were all physically drained by then.

After crossing a checkpoint, came the separation part. My extended family had to go on different routes because they all live far away (definitely not around the main city). There were three groups, to three different places/hometowns. We were headed back to Yangon, of course. Almost everyone on the van had gone silence. This is a sign that all of them had something, or someone in mind they missed. I was reminiscing all the times spent with my cousins, parents, nieces etc. It'll always be such wonderful, amazing recollections of my past.

However, this road trip wasn't the end. Because......

After resting for a few days in Yangon, The "Mom side relatives -Singaporean pals [leftovers]" group (I don't even know how I derived at that group name), decided to continue the journey for further exploration. We went to another region - The Shan State via Bus/coach that travels to long distances this time hehehe. It was mainly planned by my Aunt-in-law. Therefore, because of her and some others who scheduled our stay there...I got to see GREAT views and scenery. Arigato! ^ o ^

I'm in love with the cooling weather over there, like I REALLY WANT TO LIVE IN SUCH PLACES FOR LONG... very chilling and beautiful!

First of all, we arrive at a place further down Taunggyi (which was our main destination), called Aye-ta-yar (forgive my spelling)... Yeah, it's basically like the "new city" developed at the later years, or so a person said.

We placed all luggage at the Chanmyay meditation center afterwards, which was breathtaking (at least that's my opinion). Now that I think about it, the place reminds me of those "you-can-get-out-of-the-real-world for a moment and escape from troubled soul" places written inside novels. Not kidding, but it does appeals to those who loves, or needs the silence and learn more about their inner-selves (eg soul search, meditate).

Upon greeting all seniors who welcomed us at the center, and giving respect to the Sayadaw (monk), we continued our journey. This time, for Pin Da Ya.

And boom! I fell in love with the place instantly. Couldn't resist asking dad to take photos on my behalf (because sadly my phone's battery died and there was no charger around).

But... here are the long-awaited photos! Now speak little memories!

Notice: pictures of myself alert!! X-D

Seriously such a eye-opening place. ;'D

Freaking looks like a painting O.O

Dreamland I say!

That smile signifies the fact the I was feeling really over the moon!

Because #WeAreYoung and #KidAtHeart. There you go.

What is Burma without its pagodas and uniqueness?

The fog though... ;b

We headed for Inle next. Along the way, dad was like "you'll see Myanmar Venice there" I get why he said that...

Alas! We finally went up to Taunggyi. It was my dad's hometown. Hence. there are definitely gonna be some childhood memories buried there! We met up with some of my "long-lost relative"/ older generations. Daddy totally talked about 'what used to be what and which home belonged to whose' last time. Obviously, 60% changes were done in comparison to the present Taunggyi. FYI, the place is a small village so it wouldn't be surprising for people living there to recognize each other easily. Unfortunately, I didn't really take a lot of photos. Okay... Mainly because my phone was misbehaving (there's this point when it even blanked out).

What d'you say? Wild sunflowers being wild...
There was this pagoda in a cave located several feet higher than Taunggyi, at a place that has been called another name (which silly me doesn't know).

Okay its magnificent!! Except that I was feeling a little dizzy then.

This was at the festival, which was ah-mayy-zing! ^^ Click here to view more info.

The rest of the photos are either inside my love ones' phones, or other cameras.
Yeap this was my Burma Adventures this year. Guess I will still be having more trips to there (if I can hopefully save up enough $$, that is)!!

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR READING MY TRAVEL JOURNAL PARTS (1), (2) and now...this. THE FINALE. I HAD SOO MUCH FUN AND EXPERIENCE I CAN'T EVEN THANK ENOUGH >.<

/bows to all my readers to show appreciation/

Have a nice Christmas y'all!
